Published by Taschen, Gio Ponti provides a compact insight into the career one of the most influential Italian architects of the 20th century. The designer of Milan’s Pirelli Tower, Gio Ponti (1891–1979) was an exceptionally multidisciplinary artist who worked in the fields of architecture, design, crafts, journalism and academic research. The book was written by a Graziella Roccella, an Italian freelance architect and assistant professor in architectural design, and it is part of Taschen’s Basic Architecture series that presents life and work of internationally renowned architects with approximately 120 photographs, sketches and drafts. Editor of the collection is the German art historian Peter Gössel.
